This series of works pursue the idea of the ceramic object as a container or holder of specific memories while also exploring the relationship between art objects and their frame. The painted backdrop serves as a framing device to both present and confine the object. While the works carry the same visual frame, what each surface represents is specific to its object and to the sense of memory being presented. Like photographs in an album, the presentation suggests continuity while acknowledging individuality.
